The Reckless Getaway Android App by polarbit is a racing game where the object is to escape with your hard-earned loot and stay ahead of the police. You will need to weave in and out of oncoming traffic, dodge, out run and even ram into the cop cars so that they can’t catch you. This is no easy task as the physics in this game are not quite like the physics in real life.
You control your car by either using your device’s accelerometer feature with tilt controls or you can use the left and right touch screen controls. The touch screen controls seem to be the easier of the two to use. Once you maneuver the car for the first time you will notice the car responds a but differently due to the unique physics that this game uses to present a whole other challenge.
While you are maneuvering through traffic and trying to get away from the police you will find that the gameplay is a bit like the popular arcade game Crazy Taxi, which makes for some really fun gameplay. There are 16 levels you will need to complete in order to beat the game. Along the way you will have the opportunity to collect coins, blow up other vehicles and perform stunts when ramps and other objects are available.
Each level offers an opportunity to collect 4 stars and you can achieve this by collecting coins, performing stunts, blowing up other cars, etc. You can also lose these stars by not keeping up with the camera by taking a detour, blowing up or taking any damage to your car in general. You are able to regenerate your health which comes in handy since it’s a bit difficult in general to earn all of the stars in each level which allows this game to present a good challenge.
Overall, this is a challenging game with quite a few objectives to accomplish for each level. Although the game only has 16 levels obtaining the 4 stars from each level will take you a few tries per level at least. Learning and really mastering each level will help you obtain all 4 stars. In addition to the detailed gameplay the graphics are of high quality and in 3D adding even more value to the game. At the time of this review the Reckless Getaway Android App is $2.99. Thumbs Up.
