The Gem Miner: Dig Deeper Android App by Phil Symonds is a game for the Android. There are 3 levels of difficulty Easy, Medium and Hard. Once you select your level of difficulty you will be asked if you want to take the tutorial. The tutorial tells you the object of the game which is to gather as many precious ores and gems as you can and sell them in the shop.
To get to the mines you need to go to the elevator to get down there and dig to gather the precious ores and gems. Your mine cart hold supplies that you will need to make sure that you do not get stuck down there and that you can get back out of there. For example, if you come across weak ground you will need to use a support and if you dig downward you will need to use your ladders in order to get back out. Once you reach the surface again all you need to do is walk by the general store and you will automatically sell all of your precious ores and gems that you have gathered. You can also go inside the store to purchase more supplies.
The graphics for this game are pretty well done and clean. The controls are pretty easy to use, simply press the screen in front of the miner in the direction that you want him to go. Some tips for playing this game are to watch your stamina bar, make sure that you have enough supplies such as supports and make sure that when you dig downward that you have enough ladders to get your miner get back out.
Overall, this is another great Android game by Phil Symonds. At the time of this review the Gem Miner: Dig Deeper Android App is £1.35 which is approximately $1.92. Highest Seal of Approval.

I bought a saw that let’s me break down and reuse ladders and supports…can’t figure out how to use it
I looked in my supplies – not there. Any advice??
Amber, I was wondering the same thing, and I was a little upset at first, because it seemed like I wasted a lot of in-game money! I emailed the developer or distributor, Phil, and he told me to use the saw you simply have to press and hold when you are facing a wooden item. It’s actually more that you have to be ON the wooden item, them you press and hold and you hear a sawing sound, then the item returns to your inventory! You can reclaim walkways too, but you have to be ON the walkway, so be sure you won’t drop too far and die!
