Android App Review Source:
How did you get into developing apps?
I thought Android looked like a great platform to develop interesting applications on. The tools were great, and I liked the lack of lock-in. So I gave it a whirl, and enjoyed it. Now I’m hooked!

What was your inspiration for developing this app?
Pretty straightforward, really. I’m a big Google Reader user, and Greed came out of my wish to have an RSS reader that integrates with that on my phone.

How long did it take to develop the app?
Fognl:
Writing Greed is what I did most evenings while hanging around the house during the winter last year. I had planned to remodel my basement, but wrote Greed instead.

Are there any hidden features to the app?
Fognl:
No explicitly hidden features, but there is a lot there that I’m not sure people notice. Sometimes I wonder if it might be worth it to publish a “How to use Greed” e-book. Maybe I’ll do that this winter!

Do you have any future plans for this app?
Fognl:
I haven’t really met my goals for Greed yet. It’s slower than I would like, so I’m looking at ways to enhance its performance. I don’t like the way it handles downloads, and I’m currently in the middle of ripping that apart and re-doing it. I think the Podcast support could be better, too. Then there’s the steady flow of ideas I get from users that e-mail me. Some of those are really good. So I’m definitely going to keep working on Greed.

Do you plan to develop any new apps? If so when can we expect to see them in the Market?
Fognl:
I’m thinking about a few things. As I mentioned before, there’s never a shortage of great ideas from users, so if you’re reading this and there’s an application you’d like to see, give me a shout.
