SportyPal Android App by CreationPAL is a fitness app that helps you improve your workout performance for the Android. When the app first loads you are given the option of either a Metric or Imperial measurement system. Next you will be asked to create a user profile. For people using the Imperial measurement system, put a period after the number of feet and then you can put in a number for inches (for example if you are 6′ 1″ then put 6.1).

On the main menu you have 4 options:

  • New Workout – you can choose from 5 exercise activities from the really cool menu including an option for freestyle.
  • My Workouts – view your past workouts.
  • My Records – gives you the total time, distance and calories for all of your workouts. You can also look up these statistics by workout type.
  • My Profile – allows you to view or change your profile.

Overall, this is probably one of the most extensive work out apps I have seen so far. Check out the graphs it produces below in the screenshots. The graphics are very nicely done and the New Workout menu is really well done. The freestyle option in the New Workout menu is simply awesome. At the time of this review the SportyPal Android App is Free and definitely worth it the download. Thumbs up. Highest Seal of Approval.

Why would I switch from MyTracks? Or BuddyRunner? I think this thing’s pretty weak compared to those.
